  1. Great pictures! I can imagine the smells and temperature. That brick bathouse looks interesting. Is it still functioning as a bath house?

  2. That last comment was from me, Dana. Dont know why it says anonymous.

  3. Hey Dana, Yeah, it’s still a bathhouse. There are several of them in that area. It’s getting too hot!

  4. These pictures are gorgeous! (your blog came up on my google-search). I live near Abanotubani – am on vacation right now and yet am getting terribly homesick for Tbilisi already! (Also, what street is the one leading to your apartment? It looks gorgeous – I need to do a proper Mtatsminda walk when I get back!)

    What brings you to Tbilisi!

    • Thank you Fleur! The street is just between the McDonalds and the Rustaveli metro station and leads uphill. I’m here for 3 months (until the end of August) doing a environmental education project for the Ministry of Environment. Then I’m going to travel a bit, definitely in Turkey and maybe in Greece. I’ll check out your blog it looks interesting.
